Unit Management: Oversee the daily operations of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with clinical protocols and hospital policies.
Staff Supervision: Manage and lead the nursing and support staff in the SICU, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure effective teamwork and high standards of care.
Patient Care Coordination: Coordinate and facilitate comprehensive care for critically ill surgical patients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Quality Assurance: Monitor patient outcomes and quality of care in the SICU, conducting regular audits and implementing improvements based on findings to enhance patient safety and care standards.
Emergency Response: Act as a key leader during emergencies within the unit, ensuring timely and effective responses to patient crises and coordinating necessary interventions.
Patient and Family Support: Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, patient progress, and discharge planning, addressing any concerns they may have.
