Description

Assist in and perform surgical oncology procedures under the supervision of attending surgeons, including resections, reconstructions, and minimally invasive surgeries.
Manage preoperative and postoperative care, including patient preparation, postoperative monitoring, and managing complications.
Apply oncologic principles to ensure complete tumor removal and minimize recurrence.
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary oncology team.
Provide compassionate care and support to patients and their families, addressing their concerns and questions.
Work closely with oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and integrated patient care.
Participate in tumor boards and case discussions to develop and review treatment plans.
Engage in clinical research projects, contribute to research publications, and present findings at conferences and meetings.
Mentor and teach junior residents, medical students, and other healthcare professionals in surgical oncology techniques and patient care.
