Description

Oversee the daily operations of the pathology department, ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely, and high-quality diagnostic services.
Supervise and guide a team of pathologists, laboratory technicians, and support staff, ensuring adherence to clinical and laboratory standards.
Review and interpret complex laboratory results, including histopathology, cytology, and hematology, providing expert opinions where required.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality assurance protocols to maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Ensure the efficient functioning of laboratory equipment by coordinating with technical staff for regular maintenance and troubleshooting.
Monitor and manage the department’s budget, resources, and inventory, ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising quality.
Collaborate with clinicians and other healthcare professionals to provide consultations and support for patient management.
Lead research initiatives and contribute to the academic growth of the pathology department by organizing training programs and knowledge-sharing sessions.
