Description
- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients diagnosed with cancer, including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and management of treatment-related side effects.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests such as imaging studies, biopsies, and laboratory results.
- Participate in the education and training of medical students, interns, junior residents, and allied health professionals rotating through the medical oncology service.
- Facilitate bedside teaching rounds, case-based discussions, journal clubs, and didactic lectures to impart knowledge and enhance clinical reasoning skills in oncology practice.
- Engage in scholarly activities, including clinical research, translational studies, quality improvement projects, and educational research, to advance knowledge and improve outcomes in medical oncology.
- Design and conduct research studies, including prospective trials, retrospective analyses, and observational studies, in collaboration with faculty mentors and research teams.
- .Demonstrate leadership qualities, professionalism, and ethical conduct in all aspects of clinical practice, teaching, research, and interpersonal interactions.
- Serve as a liaison between the medical oncology team, other healthcare providers, hospital administrators, and support staff to promote collaboration, communication, and teamwork.
