Be accountable for deliverables of Viral Vector Analytical Development.
Assign to and lead analytical teams on individual and/or multiple projects and drive execution of analytical portions of viral vector development projects to timely completion
Work with Program Managers, the project teams and clients in clarifying project goals and executing them. Monitor the progress of the project with Project Leader and Project Management Coordinator as per established timelines.
Understand key analytical aspects of the project/client requirements and communicate these internally and externally. Interact with clients regularly and drive analytical execution to satisfy internal and external requirements as per established timelines.
Organize/participate/designate personnel in weekly meetings/teleconferences with clients; follow up on action items internally; report project progress to clients and discuss technical aspects to design path forward.
Support multiple programs simultaneously by efficiently deploying available resources and driving analytical project tasks to completion.
Lead analytical team in development, qualification and transfer operations. Provide substantial technical inputs and lead team members in designing experiments, analyzing and interpreting data as well as in arriving at appropriate conclusions. Provide/ensure adequate training to/of personnel.
Develop and continuously improve platforms for analytical methods to increase/expand service offerings as well as meet client demands.
Work with other department heads, Program Managers and Project Leaders to ensure that each analytical team-lead (project team member) is enabled to execute the required analytical developmental work.
Supervise, review and sign-off on documentation of the project including protocols, client interactions including minutes-of-meeting, development reports, qualification reports, stability reports, analytical reports and transfer documents.
Work with Development Quality Assurance and Quality Control departments to ensure a smooth operation from project inception to development to QC analysis.
Follow up internally and externally, on required regulatory items.
Work with Development and Plant personnel in ensuring the appropriate analytical support.
Prepare capital budget for the routine and stand alone projects capabilities in Analytical Development – Viral vector development projects in Biologics and manage expenditure within approved budget while achieving yearly targets.
Support BD by estimating FTE and RM costs for project proposals and monitor the expenditure during project execution. Participate in prospective client interactions. Build new capabilities and service offerings.
Travel nationally/internationally up to 10% of time, if required to support BD.
Possess the knowledge and exposure to Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHSS) practices.
Follow Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHSS) requirements at all times in the workplace ensuring individual and lab/plant safety.
Attend training on Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHSS).
