Senior Pathologist (Lab Head)

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Lab Head (MD Pathologist) to lead our diagnostic laboratory operations in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have 5-6 years of experience in pathology and be responsible for overseeing all aspects of laboratory operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and efficiency.

What will you get to do? 

• Lead and manage the laboratory team, including pathologists, technicians, and support staff. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Ensure the highest standards of quality control and quality assurance are maintained in all laboratory processes. Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives.
• Oversee and participate in the interpretation and reporting of laboratory results, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and accreditation requirements. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
• Optimize laboratory operations to enhance efficiency and reduce turnaround times. Implement new technologies and methodologies as appropriate.
• Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for laboratory staff. Mentor and support junior pathologists.
• Ensure excellent customer service and support for healthcare providers and patients. Address and resolve any issues or concerns promptly and effectively.
• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all health and safety regulations. Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate safety measures.

Skills we are looking for 

• MD in Pathology from a recognized institution.
• 5-6 years of experience as a pathologist in a diagnostic laboratory setting.
• Proven experience in a leadership role, managing a team of laboratory professionals.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory quality control and quality assurance procedures.
• Familiarity with regulatory and accreditation requirements for diagnostic laboratories.
• Excellent diagnostic and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
