Description

Set up and prepare the operating theatre for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies are available and in working order. Check and maintain the cleanliness, sterility, and functionality of surgical equipment and instruments.
Assist surgeons and surgical team members during surgical procedures by handing instruments, supplies, and equipment as needed. Anticipate surgeons' needs and provide support to ensure smooth and efficient surgical workflow.
Assist with positioning and preparing patients for surgery, including transferring patients to the operating table, securing them in the appropriate position, and prepping the surgical site according to established protocols.
Operate and maintain surgical equipment and machinery, including anesthesia machines, surgical lights, suction devices, and electrocautery units. Ensure proper functioning, calibration, and sterility of equipment before and during surgical procedures.
Assist with draping patients and maintaining the sterile field during surgical procedures. Manage surgical drapes, gowns, gloves, and other sterile supplies to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety.
