Roles and Responsibilities

• Utilize the emergency medicine approach to a physiologically unstable but undiagnosed patient.
• Uses effective history taking and examination techniques to recognise critical symptoms & symptom pattern.
• Demonstrate systematic assessment of undifferentiated presentations chest pain, shortness of breath, abdominal pain,
• altered level of consciousness
• Identifies & orders appropriate investigations independently
• Refers appropriate cases to higher centre after primary care within ‘golden hour’ period.
• Identify the obstructed airway optimising the patient’s position for airway management and appropriate treatment for partially obstructed, un conscious patient.
• Able to effectively transport patients on mechanical invasive ventilation to higher center.
