Senior Lab Technician (Microbiology & Serology Department)

Responsibilities are as follows:

1. Vitek entry & report print out.

2. Maintenance of vitek or Bact alert (if required)

3. PUS Cell checking of previous day sample.

4. LIM checking for any hold sample.

5. Inoculation & PUS checking (for only on R/E sample)

6. Staining

7. Performing Daily QC and documentation of the same.

8. Submission of QC documents to the Consultants for review and file up of the same.

9. PT sample handling, testing, result sending, & corrective action of PT outliars (if required).

10. Vitek Preparation.

11. Report typing and forwarding.

12. Gene Expert Processing.

13. TB Culture processing.

14. Fungal culture processing.

15. Preparation of media.

16. Temperature checking of BOD, Incubator, Hot air oven.

17. ATCC subculture.

18. Card test

19. Daily IQC record maintaining.

20. Bact Alert culture bottles entry in the machine.

21. Manual AST.

22. Biochemical testing of isolates.

23. Daily maintenance of the equipment's.

24. Call the patient if History required.

25. Weekly maintenance of equipment's.

26. Documentation of all QC related files.

27. Storage of Sample & reagents as per protocol

28. Stock Maintaining.

29. Call log at the time of machine breakdown.

30. Checking for expire reagents.

31. Weekly QC file audit.

32. Monitoring of Sample disposal.

33. Communicating with patient (if Required)

34. Maintain Suraksha Quality in tests and procedures.

35. Ensure Departmental housekeeping and maintenance is as per guideline.

36. Ensure readiness of the department for next day.

37. Receiving of inventory and being responsible for it.

38. Adherence to SOP.

39. Emergency Situation handling.
