Description

Diagnose and manage various kidney diseases, including chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, glomerulonephritis, and electrolyte imbalances.
Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as urinalysis, kidney biopsies, imaging studies, and blood tests.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management, dialysis, and dietary recommendations.
Oversee dialysis treatments (haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis) and manage patients on dialysis, ensuring optimal treatment outcomes.
Coordinate with transplant teams for patients undergoing kidney transplantation, including pre- and post-transplant care.
Educate patients and their families about kidney health, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications to manage their conditions.
Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including primary care physicians, dietitians, and social workers, to provide holistic care.
Participate in clinical research, stay updated with the latest advancements in nephrology, and contribute to the education and training of medical students and junior doctors.
