Description

  • Perform thorough eye evaluations, including visual acuity testing, refraction, slit-lamp biomicroscopy, intraocular pressure measurement (tonometry), and dilated fundus examination, to assess ocular health and detect abnormalities.
  • Evaluate patients' medical histories, ocular symptoms, and risk factors for eye diseases, and counsel patients on preventive eye care and lifestyle modifications to maintain optimal vision and eye health.
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of eye conditions and diseases, including refractive errors (myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism), cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), retinal detachment, and corneal disorders.
  • Prescribe medications, topical ophthalmic drops, oral supplements, and other medical treatments to alleviate symptoms, reduce intraocular pressure, control inflammation, and prevent disease progression.
  • Perform surgical interventions to address various ophthalmic conditions, including cataract extraction with intraocular lens (IOL) implantation, glaucoma filtration surgery (trabeculectomy), laser trabeculoplasty, retinal laser photocoagulation, and corneal transplantation.
  • Utilize advanced surgical techniques, such as phacoemulsification, femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery (FLACS), and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), to achieve optimal surgical outcomes with reduced risk and faster recovery times.
  • Offer refractive surgical procedures, such as LASIK (laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis), PRK (photorefractive keratectomy), and implantable collamer lenses (ICLs), to correct refractive errors and reduce dependency on corrective lenses for eligible patients.
  • Perform preoperative evaluations, patient counseling, and postoperative care to ensure safe and effective outcomes in refractive surgery patients.
