Senior and Jr. Lab Technician (Clinical Pathology Department)

Responsibilities are as follows:

1. switches on the analyzers as per machine operating flow chart.

2. Daily maintenance of the equipment's.

3. Daily QC run and documentation of the same.

4. Corrective action of QC outliers (if required).

5. Internal Calibration of equipment if required.

6. Submission of QC documents to the Consultants for review and file up of the same.

7. Reagent lot verification if required

8. Segregation of samples & work sheets.

9. Centrifugation the sample.

10. Preparation of slides.

11. Testing of daily samples.

12. Microscope examination of slides and write down the finding on work sheet.

13. Worksheets send for typing.

14. Result verification in software.

15. Call the patient if History required.

16. Intimation of critical alert values.

17. PT sample handling, testing, result sending, & corrective action of PT outliers (if required).

18. Split testing of urine & stool samples.

19. Weekly maintenance of equipment's.

20. Documentation of all QC related files.

21. Reconstitution of control.

22. Roster preparation

23. Daily maintenance of microscope.

24. Monitoring TAT for all test.

25. Storage of Sample & reagents as per protocol

26. Stock Maintaining.

27. Call log at the time of machine breakdown.

28. Checking for expired reagents.

29. Weekly QC file audit.

30. Monitoring of Sample disposal.

31. Communicating with patient (if Required).

32. Maintain Suraksha Quality in tests and procedures.

33. Ensure Departmental housekeeping and maintenance is as per guideline.

34. Ensure readiness of the department for on next day.

35. Receiving of inventory in the system and being responsible for it.

36. Adherence to SOP.

37. Emergency Situation handling.
