Description

Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies are sterilized, organized, and readily available.
Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, handling tissues, and providing other support as needed, maintaining a sterile field at all times.
Possess a thorough understanding of surgical instruments, their uses, and proper handling techniques to anticipate surgeon's needs.
Adhere to strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment throughout surgical procedures.
Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process, including positioning patients on the operating table and monitoring vital signs as required.
Effectively communicate with members of the surgical team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other nurses, to facilitate efficient and coordinated patient care.
Accurately document all aspects of the surgical procedure, including instrument counts, patient information, and any relevant observations or interventions.
Respond promptly and effectively to any emergencies or unexpected developments during surgery, implementing appropriate interventions to support patient safety and well-being.
Assist with the transfer of patients to the recovery area after surgery, providing postoperative care as needed and ensuring appropriate handover to post-anesthesia care providers.
