1. Prepare the CTOT with required sterile instruments, consumables, and equipment before surgery.
2. Assist the cardiac/thoracic surgeon during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
3. Ensure proper sterilization, counting, and handling of surgical instruments, sponges, and needles.
4. Anticipate surgical needs during complex cardiothoracic procedures for smooth workflow.
5. Maintain strict aseptic techniques and infection control standards at all times.
6. Assist in patient positioning, draping, and skin preparation for surgery.
7. Coordinate with anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and OT staff during procedures.
8. Monitor and document surgical counts and OT records accurately.
