<ul><li>Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all equipment, instruments, and supplies are sterile and functional.</li><li>Verify the accuracy of surgical instruments, equipment settings, and patient identifiers before the start of the procedure.</li><li>Scrub into surgical procedures, following aseptic technique and sterile protocols to maintain a sterile field during surgery.</li><li>Assist surgeons and surgical assistants by passing instruments, sutures, and other supplies as needed during procedures.</li><li>Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide additional instruments or supplies in a timely manner.</li><li>Assist in the set-up and assembly of surgical instruments, equipment, and specialized devices required for each procedure.</li><li>Ensure proper functioning of surgical equipment, such as lights, monitors, and suction devices, throughout the surgical case.</li><li>Collaborate with the circulating nurse to maintain an accurate count of instruments, sponges, and needles before, during, and after surgery.</li></ul>
