Description
- Develop, implement, and evaluate safety policies, procedures, and programs to minimize occupational hazards and promote a safe working environment.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety plans and initiatives that address specific risks and concerns.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing occupational health and safety, including OSHA, EPA, and other relevant agencies.
- Stay abreast of changes in safety regulations, standards, and industry best practices, and incorporate them into organizational policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting to demonstrate compliance and facilitate audits or inspections as required.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels, including new hire orientation, job-specific training, and refresher courses.
- Promote awareness of safety policies, procedures, and practices through various communication channels, such as meetings, newsletters, and posters.
- Provide coaching and support to supervisors and employees on safety-related issues and initiatives.
