To perform that all the duties mention below, The RMO at Medicheck Hospital should have good personality, excellent telephonic etiquette, the ability to work under pressure, accurately and efficiently and the ability to interact effectively and supportively with persons of all background.

Receiving the patient, assessing him DESIGNATION: RESIDENT MEDICAL OFFICER REPORT TO: HEAD OF DEPARTMENT DUTY: (MORNING/EVENING/NIGHT) ROTATIONAL

 Categorizing him as per triage code  Call the concerned consultant if required  Deciding whether the patient needs can be meted in the hospital and act accordingly  Transfer the patient to another healthcare organization with prior information, if required  Arrange the admission of the patient and counsels the patient’s relatives regarding patient condition and plan of treatment  Strive towards keeping the emergency beds vacant (as much possible) by shifting the patients ASAP after deciding the necessary course of treatment or discharging the patient if fit  Dealing with Medico-legal cases and reporting them according to the law of land  Prepare the medical records of the patients coming to emergency  Keeping records of indicators such as death in Emergency, no. of transfers, patient records, no. of patients admitted, no. of medico legal cases, no. of CPRs and the post event analysis, reports of negligence by staff and forwarding them to Emergency Room in charge  In death cases responsible intimating the reasons for death to the patients attendants  Arranging for handling over the dead body to the relative
