Description

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients presenting with rheumatic symptoms, including joint pain, stiffness, and inflammation.
Diagnose and differentiate between various rheumatic diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, osteoarthritis, gout, and vasculitis
Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating medications, physical therapy, lifestyle modifications, and surgical interventions when necessary.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests including blood tests, imaging studies (X-rays, MRI, CT scans), and joint aspirations.
Provide ongoing management and follow-up care for patients with chronic rheumatic conditions, adjusting treatment plans based on disease progression and patient response.
Educate patients and their families about rheumatic diseases, treatment options, and strategies for managing symptoms and improving quality of life.
Work closely with rheumatology nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
Participate in clinical research, trials, and academic activities to advance knowledge in the field of rheumatology and contribute to evidence-based practice.
