Description
- Provide comprehensive care for patients in the Obstetrics and Gynecology unit, including monitoring pregnant women, managing labor and delivery, and treating gynecological disorders.
- Conduct patient rounds, update medical records, and report changes in patient condition to senior consultants.
- Respond to obstetric and gynecological emergencies, such as labor complications, miscarriages, and ectopic pregnancies.
- Perform initial assessments and emergency interventions, stabilizing patients before referring them to specialists if necessary.
- Perform routine procedures such as cervical examinations, fetal heart rate monitoring, and Pap smears.
- Assist in performing or supervising diagnostic tests like ultrasound scans, blood tests, and pelvic exams.
- Provide education on nutrition, lifestyle changes, and other health-related matters to promote a healthy pregnancy.
- Offer emotional support and guidance to patients and their families during challenging situations, such as pregnancy loss or high-risk pregnancies.
