Description
Job Profile :
- MBBS degree with two years of exposure in ICU is preferable.
- Continuous monitoring of ICU patients and timely updates to consultant.
- Prompt clinical decision-making ability.
- Hands-on experience in different clinical procedures generally executed in ICU.
- Provide medical care to patients admitted to the ICU and medical/surgical wards under the guidance and supervision of senior medical staff, including consultants, intensivists, and attending physicians.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history-taking, physical examinations, and review of diagnostic tests, to formulate accurate diagnoses and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
- Monitor and manage critically ill patients in the ICU, including those requiring mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic support, and continuous monitoring of vital signs and organ function.
- Perform bedside procedures as needed, such as endotracheal intubation, central venous catheterization, arterial line placement, and thoracentesis, with adherence to infection control protocols and patient safety standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and allied health professionals, to coordinate patient care activities, ensure continuity of care, and optimize patient outcomes.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide advanced life support interventions, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), defibrillation, and rapid sequence intubation, in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
