Description

Should report on time for duty
Should accompany all consultants on rounds and take his / her rounds for patients not seen with consultants
Should write proper notes of new admissions and fill up initial assessment form
Should update the investigation sheet daily
Should write provisional diagnosis for each patient on computer sheet
Should give proper written over to the relieving doctor, (patient-wise)
Should attend patients problem immediately and inform Unit In-charge, if necessary
Should stay in ward /emergency department till the relieving doctor comes
During putting notes in case sheet date and exact time is to be mentioned with signature and name of the on duty doctor.
All consent form should be properly filled and should be explained to get proper signature of attendants with witness.
Attain the patient after any procedure or OT Case & explain regarding treatment .
Whenever patient is shifted for any investigation like CT/MRI/EEG/ECHO/USG or any other, RMO should assure that general condition of patient is stable by getting patients parameters checked.
All the references for opinion/management should be informed either by Ward Secretary/ Team Leader/Doctor. If urgent, it should only be informed by doctor.
RMO should be aware of high alert medicines.
All file should be complete as per MRD requirement.
