Description
- Perform initial assessments of admitted patients, taking detailed medical histories and conducting thorough examinations.
- Monitor patient conditions regularly, ensuring vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment are documented and communicated to relevant medical staff.
- Carry out routine and emergency rounds in the wards, responding to changes in patient conditions and addressing concerns promptly.
- Administer medications, perform minor medical procedures, and oversee therapeutic interventions as prescribed by senior physicians or consultants.
- Assist in diagnosing and formulating treatment plans in collaboration with specialists and consulting doctors.
- Prepare and assist in emergency procedures, resuscitation efforts, and stabilizing critically ill patients.
- Act as the first responder to medical emergencies within the facility, such as cardiac arrest, respiratory distress, or sudden deterioration in patient condition.
- Follow established protocols to manage emergency situations until specialized teams or attending physicians arrive.
- Communicate with senior doctors and coordinate patient transfer if higher levels of care are required.
