<ul><li>Their major responsibility is to examine the patients and complete the Initial Assessment of patients in Emergency/ ICU / Wards.</li><li>To take a proper history from the patient or his relative.</li><li>Examine the patient. Check any previous records, if available.</li><li>Inform the respective Registrar concerned or on-call/consultant, about the admission and follow the orders. Always write differential diagnosis, if confirm about diagnosis the write clinical Impression.</li><li>To take rounds and examine individual patients. Inform the respective Consultant/Registrars if any new findings are observed.</li><li>To follow medication orders by the consultants and document the same on the Medication Order sheet/ Medication Chart in Capital letters. Cross check the same for the dosages of the medications.</li><li>To confirm the investigations to be sent and take special precautions for any special investigations.</li><li>To give proper handover to RMO in the next shift about all details of the patient and pending investigations any referrals etc.</li></ul>
