Leela Ravi Hospital was started as health care facility by Dr.Ravi in rented premises as a seven bedded hospital in the month of may 1976 with just three staff members, a nurse, a laboratory technician and an attender. Those days Venjaramood was an under developed village with no modern medical facility/practitioner in a radius of 6km. This hospital was open round the clock and provided modern medical care at an unbelievably affordable cost. Gradually we owned a building in 1977 and converted it as a hospital, In the year 1980 we expanded it further with a new block and expanded further more with another block in the year 2007, with two operation theatres and a total 40 rooms and three general wards with bed strength of 100 for inpatients and a lobby for OP waiting area and OP consulting rooms. Currently we provide full time services for Medical,, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics ,surgical, Dentistry ,Physiotherapy and Psychology consulting departments and ENT, Dermatology and orthopaedics on selected days. Laparoscopic Surgery and Sterility clinic is also functional throughout the week. We are also associated with Star Health Insurance. Dr. Leela.K who joined in 1977 is the present Proprietor for this hospital. Currently she is the chief Gynaecologist as well as the managing director of this institution.
