<ul><li>Assess patients' medical histories, symptoms, and physical conditions related to gastrointestinal disorders.</li><li>Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures such as endoscopy (upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy), biopsy, and imaging studies (CT scan, MRI) to diagnose GI conditions.</li><li>Develop and implement treatment plans based on diagnosis, including medication management, lifestyle modifications, and surgical interventions.</li><li>Provide ongoing management and follow-up care for patients with chronic GI conditions, monitoring treatment efficacy and adjusting plans as necessary.</li><li>Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, including surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, and nutritionists, to ensure comprehensive patient management.</li><li>Educate patients and their families about gastrointestinal diseases, treatment options, and preventive measures.</li><li>Participate in clinical research, contribute to medical literature, and educate medical students, residents, and healthcare professionals on gastroenterology topics.</li></ul>
