Description
- Provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients in intensive care units (ICUs), including monitoring vital signs, administering treatments, and managing life support systems.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions, including respiratory failure, sepsis, cardiac arrest, and multi-organ dysfunction.
- Respond to medical emergencies within the ICU, such as cardiac arrests, respiratory distress, and severe trauma, using advanced resuscitation techniques.
- Coordinate care with specialists across various medical disciplines, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and respiratory therapists, to develop and implement patient treatment plans.
- Provide leadership and guidance to ICU medical staff, residents, and healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care and adherence to clinical protocols.
- Mentor and educate medical residents, fellows, and healthcare professionals on critical care principles, procedures, and advancements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and clinical audits to enhance patient safety, outcomes, and ICU protocols.
- Advocate for patient rights, preferences, and informed decision-making in collaboration with patients' families and caregivers.
