Description
- Design and develop new synthetic routes for active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), intermediates, and other chemical compounds.
- Optimize synthetic processes to improve yield, efficiency, and scalability for commercial manufacturing.
- Evaluate alternative synthetic pathways for cost-effectiveness and environmental sustainability.
- Conduct laboratory-scale synthesis of chemical compounds, ensuring adherence to project timelines and objectives.
- Perform reaction monitoring, product isolation, and purification using techniques such as chromatography, crystallization, and distillation.
- Analyze chemical reactions, identify impurities, and suggest modifications to improve product quality and process efficiency.
- Develop and optimize chemical processes for scale-up from lab-scale to pilot-scale or commercial production.
- Identify key process parameters and implement improvements to enhance safety, robustness, and consistency in the synthesis process.
- Collaborate with process development teams to ensure smooth transfer of lab-scale processes to manufacturing facilities.
