Description
- Preoperative Assessment: Conduct thorough preoperative evaluations of patients, reviewing medical histories, performing physical examinations, and discussing anesthesia options and risks.
- Anesthesia Administration: Administer appropriate anesthesia (general, regional, or local) before surgical procedures, ensuring the correct dosage and technique tailored to each patient's needs.
- Intraoperative Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and anesthesia levels during surgery, adjusting anesthesia as necessary to maintain patient safety and comfort.
- Postoperative Care: Provide postoperative care and pain management, monitoring patients as they recover from anesthesia and addressing any complications or concerns.
- Collaboration with Surgical Teams: Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate anesthesia plans and ensure optimal patient care during procedures.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to any medical emergencies during surgery, including managing airway issues, cardiac arrest, or adverse reactions to anesthesia.
