Description

The Registrar will be directly responsible for supervision of patient care in his unit with the assistance of Junior Residents, specially the emergency cases. He/ She will be contacted by the Junior Resident on duty in case of emergency.
The Registrar job description typically includes gathering and analyzing patient's diagnostic data, drawing conclusions and presenting findings in the form of recommendations to their Senior consultants.
Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history review, physical examination, and interpretation of diagnostic tests (e.g., X-rays, MRI scans), to diagnose musculoskeletal conditions and develop personalized treatment plans.
Perform surgical procedures to treat orthopedic injuries and disorders, including fractures, joint injuries, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, and congenital abnormalities, utilizing both traditional and minimally invasive techniques.
Provide preoperative and postoperative care for orthopedic surgery patients, including surgical consultations, patient education, pain management, wound care, and rehabilitation therapy coordination.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including primary care physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and radiologists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for orthopedic patients.
Participate in departmental meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to review patient outcomes, discuss complex cases, and implement best practices for patient care delivery.
