Description

Conduct comprehensive pre-operative evaluations of surgical patients, including history-taking, physical examinations, and review of diagnostic tests and imaging studies.
Assist attending surgeons in the operating room by scrubbing in, assisting with surgical procedures, and providing perioperative care to patients.
Manage post-operative patients, including monitoring their recovery, assessing surgical wounds, managing pain, and addressing any complications that may arise.
Participate in ward rounds, multidisciplinary team meetings, and case discussions to contribute to patient management and decision-making.
Provide outpatient clinic consultations and follow-up care for surgical patients, including assessment of surgical outcomes and management of post-operative issues.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including surgeons, residents, nurses, and allied health staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care and continuity of services.
Participate in on-call duties as scheduled, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to provide emergency surgical care and coverage.
Engage in teaching and supervision of medical students, junior residents, and other healthcare professionals, as appropriate.
