Description

Provide comprehensive medical care to critically ill patients in the ICU, including initial evaluation, diagnosis, and management of acute and complex medical conditions.
Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures and tests, such as arterial blood gas analysis, central venous catheter insertion, intubation, mechanical ventilation management, and hemodynamic monitoring.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patients' medical history, clinical findings, and response to therapy.
Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes and prevent complications.
Respond promptly to changes in patients' clinical status and provide timely interventions to stabilize and support vital functions.
Participate in medical emergencies and resuscitation efforts, including advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and other critical care procedures, as needed.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, providing clear explanations of diagnoses, treatment options, and prognosis.
Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and institutional policies.
Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care delivery and promote evidence-based practice.
Engage in continuing medical education and professional development activities to stay abreast of advances in critical care medicine and maintain clinical competence.
