Description

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients presenting with cardiovascular symptoms or conditions, including history-taking, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests and imaging studies.
  • Assist in the diagnosis and management of various cardiovascular disorders, including coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and congenital heart defects.
  • Participate in the performance and interpretation of diagnostic procedures and tests, such as electrocardiograms (ECGs), echocardiograms, stress tests, cardiac catheterizations, and cardiac imaging studies.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with cardiovascular diseases, incorporating medical therapy, lifestyle modifications, and invasive interventions as appropriate.
  • Assist in the provision of acute cardiac care, including management of acute myocardial infarction, heart failure exacerbations, arrhythmias, and other cardiovascular emergencies.
  • Participate in cardiac procedures and interventions, including cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stenting, pacemaker implantation, and cardioversion, under the supervision of attending cardiologists.
  • Monitor patients' progress and response to treatment, adjusting management plans as necessary to optimize outcomes and ensure patient safety.
  • Provide patient education and counseling regarding cardiovascular conditions, treatment options, medication regimens, and lifestyle modifications to promote cardiovascular health.
