Description

  • Conduct thorough preoperative evaluations of patients scheduled for cardiac surgery, including medical history, physical examination, and assessment of cardiac function.
  • Review laboratory results, imaging studies, and previous medical records to develop an appropriate anesthesia plan.
  • Communicate with patients and their families to explain anesthesia procedures, risks, and benefits.
  • Administer and monitor anesthesia during cardiac surgeries, including general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, or sedation as needed.
  • Adjust anesthesia levels and medications based on patient responses and surgical requirements.
  • Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythm, and other physiological parameters throughout the procedure to ensure patient stability.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless integration of anesthesia care with the surgical procedure.
  • Manage any intraoperative complications or adverse reactions, such as changes in blood pressure, cardiac arrhythmias, or allergic reactions.
  • Perform advanced airway management and provide support in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) if required.
