Description

Operate and maintain radiotherapy equipment, including linear accelerators, brachytherapy units, and treatment planning systems, ensuring accurate and precise treatment delivery.
Perform daily machine checks, calibrations, and quality assurance procedures to verify equipment functionality and safety.
Assist radiation oncologists and medical physicists in treatment planning, including patient positioning, immobilization, and simulation procedures.
Deliver radiation therapy treatments to patients according to prescribed treatment plans, adhering to established protocols and safety guidelines.
Provide compassionate care and support to patients undergoing radiotherapy treatment, addressing their physical and emotional needs during treatment sessions.
Educate patients about treatment procedures, potential side effects, and self-care measures, ensuring their understanding and compliance throughout the treatment process.
Document treatment parameters, patient information, and treatment delivery accurately and comprehensively in electronic medical records (EMR) and other documentation systems.
Maintain accurate and organized records of patient treatments, schedules, and follow-up appointments.
Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, treatment planning, and follow-up.
Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team members to ensure seamless coordination of patient care and treatment delivery.
