Description
- Performs diagnostic imaging procedures, such as X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, and ultrasounds, under the guidance of radiologists.
- Prepares patients for imaging exams by explaining procedures, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Operates radiologic equipment, ensuring proper settings and calibration for high-quality images.
- Assesses images for quality and clarity, ensuring they meet the required standards before being sent to the radiologist.
- Maintains patient confidentiality and ensures accurate documentation of patient information and imaging results.
- Prepares and maintains imaging equipment, ensuring it is clean, sterile, and functioning properly.
- Follows safety protocols, including the use of protective shielding to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
- Assists in the administration of contrast agents or other substances for certain imaging procedures, as required.
- Collaborates with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate diagnosis and treatment.
- Participates in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on the latest imaging technology and techniques.
