Description

  • Operating Imaging Equipment: Safely operate radiologic equipment such as X-rays, CT scans, MRI machines, and ultrasound machines to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them appropriately, and ensuring their comfort and safety during the procedure.
  • Image Acquisition: Capture and produce diagnostic images according to physician protocols and departmental standards, ensuring the clarity and quality of the images.
  • Radiation Safety Compliance: Adhere to radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and self, including using lead aprons and shielding devices as necessary.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine checks and maintenance on imaging equipment, reporting any malfunctions or technical issues to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
  • Collaboration with Healthcare Staff: Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and assist in developing patient care plans.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of imaging procedures performed, including patient data, imaging results, and any relevant notes, in compliance with medical regulations.
  • Continuous Education: Stay updated with advancements in radiologic technology and imaging techniques through ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
