Description

Medical Imaging: Operate and maintain radiologic equipment, such as X-ray machines, CT scanners, and MRI machines, to perform diagnostic imaging procedures as prescribed by physicians.
Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process, ensuring their comfort, and positioning them correctly to obtain the necessary images.
Radiation Safety: Adhere to radiation safety protocols and guidelines to minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and self, ensuring a safe working environment.
Image Quality Control: Monitor and assess the quality of diagnostic images, making adjustments to equipment settings as needed to obtain clear and accurate images for diagnosis.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, imaging procedures, and results, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitating communication with healthcare providers.
Collaboration: Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results, provide additional images if necessary, and contribute to the overall patient care plan.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on radiologic equipment, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with appropriate personnel for repairs to ensure the continuous and reliable operation of imaging equipment.
Continuing Education: Stay current with advancements in imaging technology, techniques, and safety protocols through ongoing education and training, maintaining relevant certifications and licensures.
