Description

Completing the patients' intake process, taking patients' histories, and preparing and educating patients about the imaging procedure.
Reviewing patients' charts and Doctors' notes before the examination, and maintaining patients' records during and after procedures.
Preparing radiopharmaceuticals for contrast in the diagnostic images.
Positioning patients and equipment to capture the correct area and produce clear images.
Monitoring patients and ensuring their safety during imaging procedures.
Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for radiologic procedures by explaining the process, ensuring they are comfortable, and obtaining necessary medical histories and consent forms.
Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain radiographic equipment, including X-ray machines, CT scanners, and MRI machines, ensuring they are functioning correctly and safely.
Image Acquisition: Perform imaging procedures (e.g., X-rays, CT scans, MRIs) according to established protocols, adjusting settings as necessary to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
Patient Safety: Ensure patient safety by adhering to radiation safety protocols, including proper shielding techniques and minimizing exposure to ionizing radiation.
Image Evaluation: Review images for quality and completeness, recognizing and reporting any technical issues or anomalies to the supervising radiologist.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of procedures performed, patient information, and equipment usage, ensuring compliance with legal and institutional standards.
Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Work collaboratively with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care and assist in diagnostic evaluations.
Continuing Education: Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with advancements in radiologic technology, imaging techniques, and regulatory standards.
