Image Acquisition:

• Capture diagnostic images of the specified anatomical area as requested by the referring physician.
• Collaborate with radiologists to obtain additional images or views when necessary.

Radiation Safety:

• Adhere to radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and oneself.
• Use shielding devices and protective equipment to maintain a safe environment.

Image Quality Assurance:

• Review images for clarity, positioning, and overall quality.
• Retake images if necessary to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
• Collaborate with the radiology team to optimize imaging protocols.

Patient Records and Documentation:

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information and imaging procedures.
• Document any contrast agents or other substances administered during imaging.

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to discuss patient cases and imaging results.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Education and Training:

• Provide instructions and information to patients about the imaging process.
• Assist in the training and orientation of new radiologic technologists.
