Description

Analyze and interpret diagnostic images, including X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, ultrasounds, and nuclear medicine studies, to identify and diagnose diseases, injuries, or abnormalities.
Provide detailed and accurate reports on findings and diagnostic interpretations for referring physicians.
Explain imaging procedures to patients, ensuring they understand the process and feel comfortable.
Ensure patient safety by adhering to protocols that minimize exposure to radiation or other risks during imaging procedures.
Work closely with other medical professionals, including surgeons, oncologists, and primary care physicians, to integrate radiological findings into the overall patient treatment plan.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings (MDTs) to discuss complex cases and contribute radiological insights for accurate diagnoses and treatment strategies.
Perform minimally invasive, image-guided procedures such as biopsies, catheter placements, and angiography.
Guide and assist physicians during surgical or therapeutic procedures using imaging technologies.
