Description
- Interpret radiographic images, including X-rays, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine scans, to accurately diagnose medical conditions and abnormalities.
- Provide timely and accurate radiology reports to referring physicians, healthcare team members, and patients, ensuring clear communication of findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with referring physicians, specialists, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement patient management plans based on imaging findings and clinical information.
- Utilize advanced imaging techniques and technologies to enhance diagnostic accuracy and provide additional information for patient care and treatment planning.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and guidelines to minimize radiation exposure for patients, staff, and oneself during imaging procedures.
- Participate in multidisciplinary conferences, tumour boards, and case discussions to contribute expertise and collaborate on patient care strategies.
- Mentor and supervise radiology residents, fellows, and other trainees, providing guidance and feedback to support their professional development.
- Participate in quality assurance activities, including image quality assessment, peer review, and performance improvement initiatives, to maintain high standards of radiology practice.
