Description

Interpret radiographic images, including X-rays, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine scans, to accurately diagnose medical conditions and abnormalities.
Provide timely and accurate radiology reports to referring physicians, healthcare team members, and patients, ensuring clear communication of findings and recommendations.
Collaborate with referring physicians, specialists, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement patient management plans based on imaging findings and clinical information.
Utilize advanced imaging techniques and technologies to enhance diagnostic accuracy and provide additional information for patient care and treatment planning.
Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and guidelines to minimize radiation exposure for patients, staff, and oneself during imaging procedures.
Participate in multidisciplinary conferences, tumour boards, and case discussions to contribute expertise and collaborate on patient care strategies.
Mentor and supervise radiology residents, fellows, and other trainees, providing guidance and feedback to support their professional development.
Participate in quality assurance activities, including image quality assessment, peer review, and performance improvement initiatives, to maintain high standards of radiology practice.
