Description
- To provide optimum quality, effective and efficient Radiology services within the resources available to the hospital.
- To share in the collective responsibility for the provision of imaging services for patients within the Radiology Department.
- To provide leadership within their own specialty team.
- Comprehensive understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical imaging techniques to interpret radiographic images accurately.
- Proficiency in interpreting various imaging modalities, including X-rays, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, nuclear medicine scans, and mammography, to diagnose a wide range of medical conditions.
- Ability to identify subtle abnormalities, anatomical variations, and diagnostic indicators within medical images to make accurate diagnoses.
- Analytical skills to evaluate complex imaging findings, correlate them with clinical data, and formulate differential diagnoses to guide patient management.
- Ability to navigate ambiguous or challenging cases, collaborate with other healthcare professionals, and develop appropriate imaging strategies to address diagnostic dilemmas.
