Description
- Interpret and analyze medical images, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and other diagnostic imaging studies.
- Provide accurate and timely diagnostic reports to referring physicians.
- Consult with referring physicians to understand patient histories, symptoms, and clinical indications.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to determine appropriate imaging protocols and further diagnostic steps.
- Perform or supervise certain interventional radiology procedures, such as biopsies or image-guided therapies, as needed.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of patients during diagnostic procedures.
- Implement and adhere to quality assurance and safety protocols in medical imaging.
- Monitor and maintain the integrity and accuracy of imaging equipment.
- Stay abreast of advancements in radiology technology, techniques, and research.
- Participate in continuous medical education to maintain and enhance professional competence.
