Description

Administer radiation treatments to cancer patients as prescribed by oncologists, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during sessions.
Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators, CT simulators, and other imaging devices.
Prepare patients for radiation therapy by positioning them correctly, explaining the procedure, and ensuring accurate treatment delivery.
Follow radiation therapy treatment plans provided by the radiation oncologist, making necessary adjustments as needed.
Monitor patients during radiation sessions to ensure proper dosages are delivered and respond to any patient concerns or discomfort.
Record and track treatment progress, documenting any side effects, patient reactions, and outcomes.
Collaborate with oncologists, physicists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Adhere to safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and the environment, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Provide emotional support to patients and their families, addressing concerns related to treatment and side effects.
