Description
- Microbial Testing: Conduct microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure they meet microbiological quality standards.
- Culture & Isolation: Isolate and identify microorganisms using standard microbiological techniques, including culture, staining, and microscopy.
- Sterility Testing: Perform sterility, endotoxin, and microbial limit tests on pharmaceutical products, medical devices, and other microbiologically sensitive materials.
- Environmental Monitoring: Conduct routine environmental monitoring of production areas, including air, surface, and water testing, to ensure cleanliness and adherence to safety standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of microbiological testing results, observations, and deviations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., GMP, USP, ISO).
- Equipment Calibration: Calibrate and maintain microbiological laboratory equipment (e.g., autoclaves, incubators, microscopes) to ensure optimal performance.
- Sampling: Collect and prepare samples for microbiological analysis from various production stages, including raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all microbiological testing follows industry standards and regulations, including USP, EP, and ICH guidelines.
- Investigation & Deviation Management: Investigate any microbiological deviations, identify root causes, and collaborate with relevant departments to implement corrective actions.
- Training & Support: Train and mentor junior laboratory staff on microbiological techniques, laboratory safety, and quality control procedures.
