Description

Quality control chemists are responsible for ensuring that the products we use every day are safe and effective.
They commonly work in pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing, but they may also be found in other industries where quality control is important (such as food processing).
Perform chemical and physical analyses on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using various analytical techniques and instrumentation.
Ensure testing is conducted in accordance with established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Operate and maintain laboratory instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis spectrophotometer, and other analytical instruments.
Calibrate and troubleshoot instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Record and maintain accurate and detailed laboratory notebooks and analytical records.
Prepare and review certificates of analysis (COA) for each batch of products.
Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and other relevant quality standards.
Collaborate with regulatory affairs to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
