Description

Sources and procures APIs, intermediates, and raw materials required for pharmaceutical manufacturing, ensuring quality and compliance with regulatory standards.
Identifies, evaluates, and develops reliable suppliers globally, negotiating pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to optimize cost and efficiency.
Maintains and updates a database of approved vendors, ensuring supplier qualifications align with GMP and other regulatory requirements.
Collaborates with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs teams to assess and approve the specifications and quality of APIs.
Monitors market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain risks to ensure uninterrupted availability of critical materials.
Prepares purchase orders, manages contracts, and ensures timely procurement while maintaining proper documentation for audit readiness.
Coordinates with logistics and warehousing teams to ensure proper storage, handling, and delivery of APIs.
Resolves procurement issues, such as shipment delays, quality discrepancies, or vendor-related concerns.
Ensures compliance with all regulatory and statutory guidelines, including import/export laws and certifications.
Contributes to cost-saving initiatives by identifying opportunities for alternate sourcing, bulk purchasing, or supplier collaborations.
