Description

Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments to diagnose mental health disorders, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, substance use disorders, and personality disorders.
Develop comprehensive treatment plans based on patients' clinical presentation, history, and diagnostic findings, incorporating evidence-based therapeutic modalities, psychopharmacology, and psychotherapy techniques.
Provide medication management, prescribing and adjusting psychotropic medications, monitoring treatment response, and addressing medication side effects and complications.
Deliver individual and group psychotherapy sessions to patients, utilizing cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), supportive therapy, and other psychotherapeutic approaches to address patients' emotional and behavioral issues.
Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including psychologists, social workers, nurses, and case managers, to coordinate patient care, referrals, and treatment planning.
Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, case conferences, and clinical rounds to review patient progress, discuss treatment strategies, and ensure continuity of care.
Provide crisis intervention, risk assessment, and safety planning for patients experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms, suicidal ideation, or behavioral crises.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, progress notes, and treatment documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources, empowering them to participate actively in their own care and recovery process.
