Job Description

1. Lead and manage the Department of General Surgery.
2. Perform and supervise major & complex surgical procedures, including emergency and elective surgeries.
3. Provide undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (MS/DNB) teaching.
4. Conduct lectures, seminars, case discussions, and clinical demonstrations.
5. Supervise and mentor residents, interns, and junior faculty.
6. Guide postgraduate thesis/dissertation work.
7. Participate in clinical research and publications in indexed journals.
8. Ensure compliance with NMC (National Medical Commission) guidelines.
9. Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and ethics.
10. Coordinate with Anesthesia, ICU, Radiology, and allied departments.
11. Participate in academic audits, CMEs, and conferences.
12. Assist in departmental administration, planning, and quality improvement.
