Description

Design and develop mechanical systems and components for industrial processes, including piping systems, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and material handling equipment.
Conduct engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to ensure the structural integrity, performance, and efficiency of mechanical systems. Evaluate factors such as stress, fatigue, vibration, and thermal expansion.
Perform detailed design calculations and specifications for mechanical equipment and components, considering factors such as material selection, fluid dynamics, and process requirements.
Prepare engineering drawings, plans, and specifications using CAD software. Review and approve drawings and documentation prepared by drafters and designers.
Coordinate with process engineers, instrumentation engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate mechanical systems with overall process design and control systems.
Participate in equipment selection and procurement activities, including vendor evaluation, specification development, and technical bid evaluation.
Conduct risk assessments and safety analyses to identify hazards, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
Provide technical support and guidance to project teams during construction, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems. Conduct site visits and inspections as needed.
